F3 Americas and Road Atlanta this Weekend for James Roe Jr.

Roe aims toward top step of the podium in second event weekend of 2019

After an eventful weekend at Barber Motorsports Park less than two weeks ago, Irish driver James Roe Jr. is aiming to turn things around in Georgia. Taking to the Road Atlanta facility for rounds three and four of the 2019 F3 Americas Powered by Honda season, Roe and his Global Racing Group outfit will be working hard to achieve their goal of standing on the top step of the podium.

"Barber was a difficult weekend for myself as if I felt I never really got on top of the track or car," explained Roe. "We were put into some unfortunate and difficult positions and a broken wing early on in race two was basically the story of our weekend. That is part of the highs and lows of racing, and I am ready to move on and see what our next event brings."

Despite his disappointing results, James Roe garnered 18 points over the weekend and slotted himself into the fourth position in the F3 Americas Powered by Honda Championship chase. Additionally, Roe helped the Global Racing Group obtain maximum team points on the weekend as they currently have a stranglehold on the Team Championship after a dominating open weekend in Alabama.

Roe continued, "There are many positives from our first event of the year and that includes the speed of our team, finding areas where we can improve and where we have positioned ourselves in the championship. Road Atlanta is a fast, long and flowing race track and a facility that will suit the F3 Ligier nicely and I can't wait to get started."

Taking to the track at Road Atlanta, Roe will pilot the CJJ Motorsports, Topcon, Vortex Companies, and Bennett Law Office No. 95 Global Racing Group entry on Thursday for the two thirty-minute practice sessions. Friday will be the home of qualifying and race one, while races two and three take the green flag on Sunday.
