SCCA Pro Racing secured a partnership with Intercomp, the worldwide leader in high-quality, precision motorsports measurement equipment, by naming the organization as the Official Scales for Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda and F3 Americas Championship Powered by Honda.
With the rising number in entries in both championships, multiple sets of Intercomp’s RFX Wireless scales will now be used in the F4 U.S. and F3 Americas tech to streamline the pre and post-race tech process.
“The tech staff for the F3 and F4 championships were excited to use Intercomp scales in both of our inspection lines. At our opening race, with both series at Road Atlanta, the scales worked seamlessly and because we could tech more cars at once. It really sped up the post-race wait time for teams,” said F4 U.S. and F3 Americas Technical Delegate Buddy Fey said. “Both the series and our teams can rely on their dependable and repeatable performance.”
Since 1978, Intercomp has produced the highest quality, US-made scales and measuring equipment at its Minnesota-based facility. The RFX Wireless scales that both championships will use, combine the convenience of reliable, cable-free corner weighing with the ruggedness of CNC-machined, aircraft-grade billet aluminum scale pads.
“Intercomp has been a long-time supporter of the SCCA’s competition activities,” Intercomp Market Specialist Chris Berg said. “We are very pleased to continue that relationship and are proud to support many of the up-and-coming professional racers that will fill out the grids of the Formula 4 United States Championship and the F3 Americas Championship.”
