July 26, 2023 – The FR Americas Powered by Honda will kick off their second half of the season this weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) and the driver championship is beginning to shape up. Series standout Ryan Shehan has had a perfect podium record this year earning a podium finish in the first nine wheel-to-wheel races with Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport and sits in second in the championship running.
“The championship battle is really starting to get tough,” explains Shehan. “The competition has been unmatched. My teammates have really kept me working hard to stay on the podium alongside them and as we head into the last three race events of the season, it’ll be important to get on that top step of the podium.”
Shehan added, “My Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport team has continually given me a podium-winning car, so it’ll be up to me to cross the line first at the end of the day.”
Ryan will be aiming for his tenth consecutive podium this season and his third win at New Jersey Motorsports Park this weekend.
Set to hit the track on Thursday and Friday for test sessions, Shehan will take on official practice Friday afternoon. Saturday will feature a single qualifying session followed by the first wheel-to-wheel race. Sunday will see the green flag fly for races two and three.
